 thWestern State College\n\nJoin us for a hands-on nursing exploration cour
 se designed to introduce students to the world of healthcare\, emergency r
 esponse\, and patient care. This immersive experience takes place inside a
  professional nursing simulation lab\, where students learn through real m
 edical tools\, realistic scenarios\, and guided instruction.\n\nThroughout
  the course\, students explore what nurses do in hospitals\, clinics\, ope
 rating rooms\, and emergency settings. Each class blends medical science\,
  safety education\, teamwork\, and career exploration while helping studen
 ts build confidence in medical environments.\n\nWhat Students Will Learn &
  Do\n- Practice basic nursing assessments and vital signs\n- Learn how nur
 ses respond in emergency situations\n- Be introduced to hospital equipment
 \n- Explore X-rays\, fractures\, injury stabilization and ortho care\n- Le
 arn bike and helmet safety\n- Listen to heart and lung sounds using stetho
 scopes\n- Learn introductory EKG concepts\, AED use\, and oxygen delivery\
 n- Participate in hospital room\, operating room\, and emergency simulatio
 ns\n- Experience patient care across the lifespan\, including infant\, chi
 ld\, and adult care\n\nSimulation Lab Capstone Experience\nDuring the fina
 l class\, students rotate through multiple nursing simulation stations\, a
 pplying everything they've learned in realistic clinical scenarios. Studen
 ts practice teamwork\, communication\, observation\, and decision-making w
 hile rotating through different nursing roles.\n\nImportant Note\nDue to l
 imited space and the high demand for this course\, students who are regist
 ered but do not attend (no-shows) will not be eligible to register for fut
 ure Homeschool Hangar classes. This policy helps ensure fair access to opp
