About This Event
Peggy the Pegasus is the mascot of the Dallas Public Library’s 1,000 books Before Kindergarten program (details below). Celebrate your child’s reading journey with special games and crafts! Make reading a routine with your child and get rewarded. 1,000 books may sound like a lot, but with just a book a day you will be preparing your child to succeed in kindergarten and, for every 100 books read, you’ll also get a prize. When they reach 1,000 books they'll earn a Peggy the Pegasus Plushie, ONLY available through this program! Sign up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten and start tracking through the Beanstack app. Prefer to track on paper? Download the reading log and bring it into your library branch when you’re ready to claim your prize. Registration is not required and is for email reminder only.
