Baked into History: Stories Grown in Sarasota

Baked into History is a hands-on history program for children (ages 5–9) that explores Sarasota’s past through food, farms, and gardens. Participants will learn how local agriculture shaped the community, then work together to bake a simple historic cookie recipe using basic mixing techniques and small countertop toasters. This program is interactive and sensory, encouraging curiosity and creativity while learning about local history. Recommended for ages 5-9. Because food preparation is involved, allergy and food-safety waivers must be completed. If registering multiple children, please fill out the form for each participating child. Please ensure that you are on time. We will begin to let waitlisted people into the class immediately after the start time, and you may lose your spot if you are late.
