1-Day Emergency Response Class Emergencies can happen anywhere. Knowing what to do in the first few minutes can make all the difference. In partnership with Armor of Light, an American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed® instructor, The Homeschool Hangar is proud to offer this nationally recognized, hands-on lifesaving course for our community. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Moms & Dads are welcome to join as students in this community course. The Stop the Bleed® program equips participants with the practical skills and confidence to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action while waiting for emergency medical services (EMS) to arrive. Through engaging instruction and guided hands-on practice, students will learn simple, evidence-based techniques that can save a life. No previous medical training or experience is required. This course is designed for anyone who wants to be better prepared to help during a bleeding emergency, whether at home, in the community, or during everyday activities. Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will receive an official Stop the Bleed® Course Completion Certificate, recognizing their training in lifesaving bleeding control techniques. Empower yourself with skills that could make the difference between life and death. When every second counts, you can be prepared to go from bystander to lifesaver.

Ensure scene safety and activate the emergency response system
Apply direct pressure to control bleeding
Pack wounds effectively
Properly apply a tourniquet using nationally recognized techniques

Cancel by November 28 for a full refund. After that, no refund.
Tuition becomes non-refundable two weeks prior to the class start date. Tuition is based on enrollment for the full session and covers materials, preparation, and instructor scheduling. The Homeschool Hangar does not offer prorated tuition or refunds for late starts, absences, or withdrawals. If you cancel your registration more than two weeks before the class start date, please email The Homeschool Hangar to request a refund.
