About this activity
Join local author Abigail Turner as she reads her picture book, Eskimo Joe: A Musical Journey. Eskimo Joe: A Musical Journey, follows a young Arctic boy who sets out to prove himself a mighty hunter — and discovers something greater along the way. Set to rhythm and rhyme, and paired with a QR-code narrated soundtrack featuring music inspired by native melodies, it’s a fully immersive journey through the Land of the Midnight Sun. Abigail Turner is co-founder of PipStones Publishing and a former music educator with almost 20 years of teaching experience. She brings that same rhythm and storytelling passion to Eskimo Joe, complete with original narrated audio and music, and is available for musical storytime visits, workshops, and speaking engagements. This is a community event. Reach out to Rachel Hoffman at assistant@pipstones.com for more information.
