Opened in 1974, the Dunbar-Jupiter Hammon Public Library is named for Jupiter Hammon, the first published African American author, and poet Paul Laurence Dunbar. It houses a dedicated African American Literature collection and offers free Wi-Fi, public computers, and a reservable meeting room.
